Michael Linders is a multi-disciplinary artist who currently lives and works in Cape Town.
Linders’ work has an overt and defining relationship to prior experiences. It functions as a visual divination of the cultural signifiers and social landscapes of a particular period in his life and presents itself as a disjunctive construction of identity and visual language, a visual language that incorporates both graphic imagery and colour field experiences. In this way, Linders takes stock of a period of visual influence that shaped him.
